Occupational Therapy enables people to engage
in the day to day activities that are important to them despite impairments, activity limitations or participation restrictions
(AOTA, 1999). The Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison began offering a Bachelor's degree
in Occupational Therapy in 1943. In its 60-year history, the prgram has continually been accredited by the American
Occupational Therapy Association(AOTA) and has grown in reposnse to the educational, leadership, and research needs of the
profession.
Beginning in June, 2005, the University of Wisconsin-Madison will offer a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
to students who have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. For a list of prerequisites for admission,
